The front door code I was given did not work, unlike my room code. I had tried to contact the staff at the front door using Ring, but he clearly struggled to hear or understand me. Using the WhatsApp group linked at the door was slow, and by the time someone was almost to be sent down, another guest simply let me in at the door. The room itself was tidy and comfortable, but the bathroom toilet required repeated flushes to work and shower head could not be moved, making showering harder. There was also a small dent in the hotel wall, but this was minor compared to my actual issues with the stay. There were no disturbances to my sleep at least and other guests were friendly.

"Whilst the communal rooms are lovely and beautifully decorated, the corridors are very dark and dingy. Also the rooms and bathrooms would benefit from much lighter colours so the general atmosphere isn’t so gloomy and old fashioned. An okay stay. Nothing really special."
